20 new Mega Liner for Toni Hotz Transporte GmbH
The first of 20 new Mega Liners was picked up in Werlte by Alexander Hotz, owner and managing director of Toni Hotz Transporte GmbH. The new vehicles will successively replace the older Mega Liners in the Hotz fleet. For the new volume trailers, each of which has a vehicle length of 15 m, Hotz relies on modern equipment such as the innovative Safe Curtain load securing curtain, in which high-strength spring steel strips in vertical PVC tunnel pockets are integrated into the side curtains. The advantage: As there is no need for classic insert slats, not only is the handling of the Safe Curtain easier, safer and faster, but compared to the conventional side curtain with insert slats there is also a weight saving of around 100 kg. Of course, the Safe Curtain fulfils the requirements of Daimler load securing 9.5 and is certified for beverage transport and according to EN 12642 Code XL.
A further plus point: The integrated spring steel strips also have an anti-theft function in the vertical direction: If the curtain is cut deliberately, only the cut to the next spring steel strip is possible. Repairing the curtain is just as easy as with a standardised side curtain. In addition, occupational accidents caused by falling insert slats are a thing of the past.
Also practice-oriented and driver-friendly is the rear view camera system, which is mounted at the rear of the 15 m long trailer. The new Hotz Mega Liner also has a hydraulic lifting roof with a total lift of 500 mm for fast loading and unloading as well as electronically controlled air suspension, including lifting and lowering equipment for manual ramp adjustment - this also makes everyday driving much easier.
"With our equipment, we not only focus on exemplary product quality, but also pay attention to features that our drivers attach great importance to, such as easy handling and the best possible load securing options. After all, our drivers are our representatives on the roads and in the companies we drive for. At Krone, we have always been able to find the right solution for our requirements for 25 years now, and in addition, the interpersonal interaction is also very good," says Alexander Hotz.
Krone Regional Sales Manager Markus Gemmel and Sales Manager Björn Budde thanked the Hotz family for their long-standing trust and the renewed order. At the same time they took the opportunity to congratulate on behalf of the entire Krone team on the 30th anniversary of Toni Hotz Transporte. As a gift, they presented a special anniversary model in scale 1:25.
