With its aluminium segmented tipper, Schwarzmüller is presenting a transport solution at IAA Transportation 2026 that has been specially developed to meet the growing demands of the construction industry. The vehicle will be on display in the outdoor area of the Krone Commercial Vehicle Group’s joint exhibition stand, demonstrating how high payload, cost-effectiveness and durability can be combined in a single vehicle concept.
The construction industry is increasingly faced with the challenge of utilising transport capacity more efficiently whilst simultaneously reducing operating costs and emissions. This is precisely where the aluminium segmented tipper body with a steel frame comes into its own. With an unladen weight starting at around six tonnes, it enables a particularly high payload and helps to significantly increase transport efficiency on the construction site.
At the same time, the vehicle offers a load volume of 28 m³, making it suitable for transporting large quantities of a wide variety of bulk materials. Another advantage in day-to-day construction site operations: “The vehicle can be uncoupled even when fully loaded, thereby providing additional flexibility on tight construction sites or in demanding operational scenarios,” explains Ferdinand Hamedinger, product expert at Schwarzmüller.
Designed for the rigours of everyday construction site life
Schwarzmüller paid particular attention to the vehicle’s durability. The specially developed QuickSilver HD wear floor was designed for continuous use with abrasive materials and ensures high resistance even under demanding conditions.
“Our customers need vehicles that allow for high payloads whilst also withstanding the stresses of daily construction site use over the long term. The aluminium segmented tipper body with a steel frame combines precisely these requirements in a cost-effective overall concept,” Hamedinger continues.
Comfort, safety and intelligent assistance systems
To ensure efficient workflows, the segmented tipper body features an electric sliding cover that simplifies and speeds up the loading and unloading process.
Schwarzmüller also relies on modern technologies when it comes to safety and vehicle management. The tyre pressure monitoring system, compliant with ECE Regulation 141, features pressure sensors in the wheels and a display in the cab, supporting optimal tyre monitoring and helping to reduce wear and operating costs.
Additional features such as the new full-LED multi-chamber rear lights from Aspöck and the fold-up underrun protection with spring-assisted lifting round off the vehicle concept.
With the aluminium segmented body, Schwarzmüller will be demonstrating at IAA Transportation 2026 how modern vehicle technology can help to maximise payload, reduce operating costs and efficiently meet the demands of an increasingly challenging day-to-day construction site environment.
