Markus Stegen (46) has joined the management board with effect from 4 October 2022 and will initially be responsible for Product Management and New Markets in the KRONE Commercial Vehicle Group. Other areas of responsibility will follow successively. Together with Alfons B. Veer, he will succeed Thomas Veismann as interim managing director of Gigant. Markus Stegen graduated from the University of Gießen in 2004 with a degree in economics, specialising in marketing, transport economics and international management. He then joined Daimler AG as a trainee where, after holding various positions in Germany and abroad, he most recently held the position of Senior Manager for Market Control of Trucks Asia. Overall, Markus Stegen has extensive expertise in national and international sales and marketing management, project management as well as planning and reporting. After almost 20 years in a large corporation, the desire to move to a medium-sized environment dominated. He describes his first weeks at the KRONE Commercial Vehicle Group as follows: "First of all, it is important for me to get to know KRONE as a company with the culture and the people. I'm taking on many different positions and trying to form my own picture to see how to balance the different interests." Markus Stegen is married and father of a daughter.
