Spelle, 03.07.2025 - Uwe Schöneberg (61) has been appointed as a new member of the Supervisory Board of the Krone Group as of 01.05.2025. He is one of the leading industry experts in the German food industry and brings with him extensive know-how from the fields of agriculture and food processing. The married family man is currently responsible for the successful strategic development of the Cologne-based group of companies as Managing Partner of sugar producer and food manufacturer Pfeifer & Langen. 

With the selection of Uwe Schöneberg, the company is relying on the competent, long-standing expertise of the trained master baker and business graduate. "We are very grateful that we have been able to recruit Mr. Schöneberg for our Supervisory Board. With his extensive industry knowledge of food production and agriculture, as well as finance and the energy industry, he will provide new, valuable impetus on how we can continue to drive the company's innovative strength and thus ensure the sustainable further development of the Krone Group," says Bernard Krone, Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Schöneberg is also looking forward to his new role: "The development of the Krone family business from an Emsland-based forging company to a global player over four generations is hugely impressive. It is therefore a great honor for me to set the course for an unchanged successful future together with the other members of the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board." 

The body of the Supervisory Board, which is now complete again under the leadership of Bernard Krone, is made up of five members, each with a different specialist focus. Alfons Veer, financial expert and Deputy Chairman, concentrates on the overall strategy and the implementation of sustainable organizational structures. Bernd Meerpohl, a renowned specialist in animal husbandry technology, is responsible for technological and production-oriented development. Dr Tono Nasch, managing partner of an institute for vehicle drives, contributes his expertise in the areas of digitalization, automation and electrification. Jürgen Hölscher, a banking expert with many years of experience in the financial market and banking sector, supports complex financial management. With his extensive expertise in the areas of agriculture and food production, Uwe Schöneberg will expand the Group's strategic areas following his appointment to the Supervisory Board.
